The Alberta Northern Lights, in partnership with Inferno Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Sports Alberta, offer the following programs for the 2009-2010 season (see calendar of events):
Mini Lights (ages
6-14)*
kids
developing their skills and having fun.
Season: Oct-May
Practices: Saturdays 9:30-10:45am at Servus Place in St. Albert
Competitions: Usually one away tournament & one home tournament
Fees: Membership plus $75
Inferno Jr. Team (ages
14-22)*
A more
competitive program geared at skill development.
Season: Dec-May
Practices: Saturdays 10:30am-Noon at Servus Place in St. Albert
Competitions: Usually 1 away tournament & 1 home tournament
Fees: Membership plus $75 (athletes also playing minis - free)
Wheelchair Sport
Alberta Jr. Program (ages 14-22)*

Lights Tuesday Night
Scrimmages (ages 14+)*
A
drop-in recreational scrimmage for everyone, chairs available for free, new
athletes welcome!
Season: Year-Round
Gym Time: 6-8pm every Tuesday at the ACT Centre in Rundle Park
Competitions: The third Tuesday of every month (Sept-May) will be a refereed
and score-kept drop-in tournament. Teams made up at 6:10. Games start 6:15.
Arrive on time!!
Fees: Membership (after second visit)
CWBL Alberta League
Lights/Inferno Team (ages 14+)*
A
competitive team geared towards adults of all genders.
Season: Oct-March
Practices: Tuesdays 6-8pm at the ACT Centre in Rundle Park
Competitions: Four away tournaments & one home tournament + national
championships if they win league
Fees: Membership plus $150 ($75 for first year and Jr/mini aged
athletes)
Inferno Elite WomenÕs
Team (ages 16+)*
A team for competitive and elite women.
Season: Feb-May
Practices: Tuesdays 6-8pm at the ACT Centre in Rundle Park
Competitions: Three away tournaments & one home tournament + national
championships
Fees: Membership plus $150 ($75 for first year and Jr/mini aged
athletes)
Wheelchair Sport
Alberta Elite Provincial MenÕs Team (ages 16+)*
A team for competitive and elite men.
Season: Feb-May

Elite
athletes with disabilities may also have opportunities to train with and try-out
for national Jr and Sr programs. Elite and competitive athletes will be
informed as opportunities arise.
*NOTE: All programs require the athlete to pay one annual fee ($50),
which grants them membership to all of the above listed clubs. All programs are
open to athletes with and without disabilities. Athletes may play in as many of
these programs as applicable. Athletes wishing to play in programs above or
below their age range can contact the coach, who may offer exceptions at her or
his discretion.
